Jewelry Trends In This Fall!
1. Gold – Gold is very ‘in’ right now and will make many appearances this fall. So get out your yellow gold! It’s classic, it’s versatile and it’s very chic right now. If yellow gold really isn’t your thing then try out rose (pink) gold jewelry.
It goes well with many skin tones and outfits. So ladies, leave the
white gold & silver aside this fall and strut around in yellow &
rose gold.
2. Statement Pieces - Go big or go home this Fall! It’s no time to be shy with your statements. In the necklaces department you’ve got bib necklaces, large pendants, and chokers to stand out in. Chandelier earrings are big, beautiful and very feminine.
3. Layer Your Jewels – Layering bracelets is a must! I’m all for stacking bangles
to make a bold statement. It’s a fun look that really grabs attention.
But layering doesn’t have to end there…experiment with layering necklaces.
Long and short pendants paired together. Big statement pieces paired
with simple pendants. Play around with different looks to find the style
that suits you best.
4. Colored Diamonds – Yes, we all know nothing compares
to a sparkly white diamond BUT it’s time to embrace the rainbow of
colors diamonds are available in. This Fall, try out brown diamonds, green diamonds and blue diamonds.
5. Nature Inspired Jewelry – Nature-toned colors are
always popular in Fall such as orange, brown and green. You can show off
these colors with beautiful gemstones such as carnelian, smoky quartz and drusy jewelry. Add some leaf, feather and floral designs in your jewelry for a nature inspired look.

Perfect Ponytails
A ponytail gives your face a look of youthfulness and
sophistication. It is also quick and easy enough to go from day to night. Why
don’t you try one?
Julianne Hough looks like Barbie-perfection with this
ponytail. This is good for days when you need a perky pick me up. Her hair is soft and her layers give the look
volume and excitement! You should ass a
little height in the crwon area and brush everything softly into a middle
ponytail.
Jessica Biel is rocking the messy ponytail! This ponytail is
not only effortless but also great on everyone. This is the ideal way to make a
blow dry last on its last day. This look create a fun flirty look.
Kim pony is the ultimate polished updo. Make sure your hair
is straight and take advantage of hair spray so there aren’t any fly-aways.
Ali is wearing the low side ponytail. You can truly dress
this up or down. She curled the end for a more feminine look .
Jessica Alba’s ponytail steals the spotlight. This is very
sexy with plenty of volume. You should use a finishing cream before drying to
smooth it out. Adding some earrings will really draw attention to your face for
this look!

Tomorrow is Friday! And you want to go out, but no longer need to layer up on the mascara thanks to your friends at Lash L'amour and your glamorous new set of lashes. Here are some tips on how to shape, angle, color, and enhance the look of your eyes without any use of mascara.
Tomorrow is Friday! And you want to go out, but no longer need to layer up on the mascara thanks to your friends at Lash L'amour and your glamorous new set of lashes. Here are some tips on how to shape, angle, color, and enhance the look of your eyes without any use of mascara.
Twin Peaks
Using two different eye shadow shades from the same color family creates instant dimension on your lids.
Pop It and Lock It
To
appear more doe-eyed, concentrate color at the middle of the lash
lines. You can apply a thicker line on the top lashes
and fade it out to the sides, but keep the color focused on the highest
and lowest points to emphasize the widest section of your eye shape.
Get the Blues
Experiment
with blue-hued eyeliner. The cooler
tones will make the whites of your eyes appear brighter.
Color Wheel
As
a general rule of thumb, warm sandy shades are great for women with
green eyes. Pinks and golds complement brown-eyed girls. And blue hues
work for everyone.
Go Bright
Go Bright
If
you think smoky eye makeup makes your eye area appear smaller,
experiment with brighter shades to get an exaggerated look without the
moody side effects.
Swoop For Coverage
After
you apply concealer to your under-eye area, use a makeup sponge to
lightly buff out any globs. To prevent distracting streaks, you should
blend all the way out to your temples to catch any lingering foundation
traces.
Try Creams
As
colder, drier months approach, try a cream-based eye shadow to prevent
flaky lids. They don't crease as much as powders,
and you won't need to prep the eye area to ensure staying power.
Go Ombre
A
great eye-opening trick is to apply a light color eye shadow on the
base of your eyelid and a darker color at the crease. This adds
dimension to you face.
Go Natural
To
really make your eyes pop, dab a pearl-colored eyeliner along the inner
corner of your eyes to illuminate the area around your nose. The key is to choose a beige pencil instead of a stark, white
one, because it looks more natural.
Blend Away
When
applying shadow in the crease, extend your brush strokes up towards the
contour of the brow bone to illuminate the curve of your profile.
Don't Forget to use your oil-free make up remover! Happy weekend from everyone at Lash L'amour.
Tidy Up
Groom
your brows! Even if you have a nice, natural arch, a
few errant hairs can pull attention downward. Keeping a clean shape will
also make your eyelids look bigger.
Fill 'Em In
The
best way to look wide-eyed sans makeup is to keep your brows thick and
full. If nothing else, use a pencil to fill in any
bare spots along your arches before you head out the door.
The Bottom Line
An
easy way to enlarge eyes with minimal effort is to line your lower lids
with a shimmering shadow. Avoid dark hues for daytime,
but try mixing in bolder navy, plum, or gunmetal pigments to get a
sexier look for happy hour.

The Picture Perfect Frame
The Picture Perfect Frame
So you’ve got yourself a great set of full, flirty lashes
courtesy of Lash L’Amour. You’re friends and family think you look great but
can’t quite tell what’s different. You love the polished look you roll right
out of bed with. But while you make sure you never miss a refill appointment
and keep your lashes perfectly fluffed and separated between visits, don’t fall
victim to one of the most common faux pas: artistically designed lashes
surrounded by overgrown and unruly eyebrows. A properly shaped brow can create
the picture perfect frame for your lash investment. But when neglected, brows
can serve as a distraction to even the most beautifully maintained eyelash
extensions. Here are some rules to live by when it comes to grooming your
eyebrows:
- · Always begin by trimming. Often times a good trim of overgrown eyebrows can spare hairs that shouldn’t be removed and prevents bald spots.
- · When removing hairs between the brows, never tweeze or wax inward beyond the outer corner of your nostril.
- · To find out how long your eyebrow should extend, hold a pencil diagonally at the base of your nostril to the outer corner of your eye.
- · Leave it to the professionals. When it comes to creating the perfect arch allow an experienced aesthetician that will take into account your natural brown shape as well as your facial structure.
Maybe you came across this article too late and you’re
suffering from thin, bald eyebrows. Well Lash L’Amour offers several solutions that my suit you. Did you
know that in addition to eyelash extensions we offer eyebrow extensions? As well
as a range of brow powders, pencils, and brow growth serum.

Take a look at how these beauty icons demonstrate the changes in eyebrow trends over the years. In the 80's the brows of Model and Actress Brook Sheilds were famously thick and unkept. This look required little to no maintenance, just a swipe of a brow brush. By the 90's eyebrow trends swung entirely in the other direction with an over-tweezed look. Bombshell Pamela Anderson made the barely there brow popular with just enough hairs remaining to create an extreme arch. Today, social media princess Kim Kardashian has the most sought out brow shape. Her well groomed brows are the perfect balance between Brook's neglected look and Pamela's overdone arch. Kim rocks a well defined arch without compromising on thick, voluminous brows...much like her eyelash extensions!

Six Places to Get Cheap Halloween Costumes
Halloween is just around the corner, and with that, you’re going to need the perfect costume, or costumes, if you plan on going out multiple nights with different outfits. The problem? We’re all dirt poor, and don’t have $100 to spend readily on three nights worth of costumes. Of course, there is always iParty and that fancy Halloween store that always comes in around the beginning of October, but their costumes are so expensive and not that great quality. If you’d rather get it done by the professionals, go ahead, but a little more digging can get you a great Halloween costume for half the price. Check out my top five places to snag a Halloween costume without emptying your wallet.1. Marshalls. Marshalls is a great place to snag something really unusual, not an entire costume. The store has everything from complete costumes to clothes from the beautiful to the ridiculous, and accessories that keep your wallet fuller and you happier.
2. Jo Ann Fabrics. If you’re slightly more creative than the average individual, a little can go a long way at Jo Ann Fabrics, if you’re willing to put in a little more effort than usual. This place has a ton of fabric (duh) but also carries those little things that really make a costume jump out. So if you’ve got some extra time and don’t want to wear the exact same costume as everyone else, check out Jo Ann Fabrics.
3. Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart has a ton of prepackaged costumes for a relatively low price, and extra accessories as well. However, keep this in mind: Everyone and their mother will be trying to snag costumes at Wal-Mart, especially when Halloween gets closer.
Nick and Mariah Keep things simple for their Halloween
costumes back in 2008
4. Dollar Store – The dollar store has lots of things that can help you put your costume together. There are things like wigs, hats and all sorts of accessories that can help you make a great costume and prices are super cheap! Also a great place for Halloween decorations!
5. Online -Amazon, Craigslist and eBay have lots of costumes on for cheap prices. These require some advance planning so better start looking now!
6. Your Own Closet! – Look for items in your own closet that you can put together into a costume. You'll be surprised what you forgot you had once you start digging.

Top Fall Makeup Trends
Want to know what's sexy this season when it comes to makeup? These looks are hot off the runway. They'll definately get you noticed this fall.
BLACK CHERRY LIPSTICK
Traditional red lipstick takes a dark and romantic turn this season. In fact, some of our favorite shades are
so deep they border on black. Apply the color directly from the tube
for the most dramatic effect. And make sure to dust a skin-warming blush
or bronzer on your cheeks to avoid getting into creepy vampire
territory.
APRÈS-SKI CHEEKS
GRAPHIC BLACK CAT-EYES
Warning: This is not liner for the timid. Dramatic swoops and
exaggerated shapes painted on with liquids, gels, and pure black
pigments characterized the coolest cat-eyes this season. For a night
out, we suggest trying Brigitte Bardot–meets–Cleopatra eyes (you can't get much sexier than those two). First, draw the
outline of the shape you want with black pencil and fill it in with
black shadow. For a less intense version, a thick stroke of black liquid
liner will do.
GOLD ACCENTS
PICTURE-PERFECT SKIN
No one has a flawless complexion, but with the right amount of coverage
and strategic highlighting, you can fake one. The important thing is for
skin to not look like an oil slick, so pick a luminizer without too
much shimmer or pigment. Dab it around the outer corners of
the eyes and down along the cheekbones. Don't forget to add a bit in the
Cupid's bow.
