Jewelry Trends In This Fall!

1. Gold – Gold is very ‘in’ right now and will make many appearances this fall. So get out your yellow gold! It’s classic, it’s versatile and it’s very chic right now. If yellow gold really isn’t your thing then try out rose (pink) gold jewelry. It goes well with many skin tones and outfits. So ladies,  leave the white gold & silver aside this fall and strut around in yellow & rose gold.

2. Statement Pieces - Go big or go home this Fall! It’s no time to be shy with your statements. In the necklaces department you’ve got bib necklaces, large pendants, and chokers to stand out in. Chandelier earrings are big, beautiful and very feminine.

3. Layer Your Jewels – Layering bracelets is a must! I’m all for stacking bangles to make a bold statement. It’s a fun look that really grabs attention. But layering doesn’t have to end there…experiment with layering necklaces. Long and short pendants paired together. Big statement pieces paired with simple pendants. Play around with different looks to find the style that suits you best.

4. Colored Diamonds – Yes, we all know nothing compares to a sparkly white diamond BUT it’s time to embrace the rainbow of colors diamonds are available in. This Fall, try out brown diamonds, green diamonds and blue diamonds. 

5. Nature Inspired Jewelry – Nature-toned colors are always popular in Fall such as orange, brown and green. You can show off these colors with beautiful gemstones such as carnelian, smoky quartz and drusy jewelry. Add some leaf, feather and floral designs in your jewelry for a nature inspired look.

A ponytail gives your face a look of youthfulness and sophistication. It is also quick and easy enough to go from day to night. Why don’t you try one?

No-Mascara Make-up Tips

Tomorrow is Friday! And you want to go out, but no longer need to layer up on the mascara thanks to your friends at Lash L'amour and your glamorous new set of lashes. Here are some tips on how to shape, angle, color, and enhance the look of your eyes without any use of mascara.

 

Twin Peaks

 Using two different eye shadow shades from the same color family creates instant dimension on your lids.

Pop It and Lock It

To appear more doe-eyed, concentrate color at the middle of the lash lines. You can apply a thicker line on the top lashes and fade it out to the sides, but keep the color focused on the highest and lowest points to emphasize the widest section of your eye shape.

Get the Blues

Experiment with blue-hued eyeliner. The cooler tones will make the whites of your eyes appear brighter.

Color Wheel

As a general rule of thumb, warm sandy shades are great for women with green eyes. Pinks and golds complement brown-eyed girls. And blue hues work for everyone.

As colder, drier months approach, try a cream-based eye shadow to prevent flaky lids. They don't crease as much as powders, and you won't need to prep the eye area to ensure staying power.

A great eye-opening trick is to apply a light color eye shadow on the base of your eyelid and a darker color at the crease. This adds dimension to you face.

To really make your eyes pop, dab a pearl-colored eyeliner along the inner corner of your eyes to illuminate the area around your nose. The key is to choose a beige pencil instead of a stark, white one, because it looks more natural.

Blend Away

When applying shadow in the crease, extend your brush strokes up towards the contour of the brow bone to illuminate the curve of your profile.

Tidy Up

Groom your brows! Even if you have a nice, natural arch, a few errant hairs can pull attention downward. Keeping a clean shape will also make your eyelids look bigger.

Fill 'Em In

The best way to look wide-eyed sans makeup is to keep your brows thick and full. If nothing else, use a pencil to fill in any bare spots along your arches before you head out the door.

6. Your Own Closet! – Look for items in your own closet that you can put together into a costume. You'll be surprised what you forgot you had once you start digging.

Top Fall Makeup Trends

Want to know what's sexy this season when it comes to makeup? These looks are hot off the runway. They'll definately get you noticed this fall. 

BLACK CHERRY LIPSTICK

Traditional red lipstick takes a dark and romantic turn this season. In fact, some of our favorite shades are so deep they border on black. Apply the color directly from the tube for the most dramatic effect. And make sure to dust a skin-warming blush or bronzer on your cheeks to avoid getting into creepy vampire territory.

Whether your cheeks are flushed from a day at the slopes or a night at the lodge, it doesn't really matter: The illusion of healthy, rosy cheeks is just plain sexy. GRAPHIC BLACK CAT-EYES

 Warning: This is not liner for the timid. Dramatic swoops and exaggerated shapes painted on with liquids, gels, and pure black pigments characterized the coolest cat-eyes this season. For a night out, we suggest trying Brigitte Bardot–meets–Cleopatra eyes  (you can't get much sexier than those two). First, draw the outline of the shape you want with black pencil and fill it in with black shadow. For a less intense version, a thick stroke of black liquid liner will do.

GOLD ACCENTS

Show off your angelic side with delicate touches of gold on the eyes and cheeks. Trace a gold liner around the eyes , or dust a soft white-gold shadow all over your lids.  Gold also gives skin a candlelit effect when dabbed on the cheekbones.

PICTURE-PERFECT SKIN

 No one has a flawless complexion, but with the right amount of coverage and strategic highlighting, you can fake one. The important thing is for skin to not look like an oil slick, so pick a luminizer without too much shimmer or pigment.  Dab it around the outer corners of the eyes and down along the cheekbones. Don't forget to add a bit in the Cupid's bow.
